NEOM vs BURNING MAN vs ACTUAL UTOPIA

 

 

 When you think of UTOPIA you either conjure this

 

 or

 

 But that’s old school. 

 Even without the 6000 classified patents or alien intervention, it is technologically feasible to create a Utopia, the problem has always been people. Fortunately, they did an experiment to figure out how to deal with the people problem, and the experiment was such a success they cancelled it 

 

One way to get around the people problem is to have your Utopia in the form of a TAZ

 

 or HIGHLY VETTED AND LIMITED POPULATION 

 

 Burning Man

 

 is a TAZ, or Intentional Community Not exactly Utopia, but defs kewl for the time it exists. 

 

 On the opposite end of the spectrum of needlessly putting your vision in an ARID place is the MEGA PROJECT NEOM

 Attempt to deal with all barriers to entry but they still fall short because, well, they are not coming from MY particular genius. You can edit out the God Gene, you can throw up a million PV panels but, ... Back to that show UTOPIA. It was like Survivor in that the group could toss out people, but what was unique is that they decided EVERYONE gets a turn with their SOCIAL ENGINEERING SCHEME. Now THAT’s Direct Democracy in action. I am positive that is why the show was cancelled. It was also a Meritocracy, where the guy who is GOOD at carpentry does carpentry, etc, ... None of this welfare and affirmative action bs

 In her story, THE ABUNDANCE PARADIGM, Amaterasu Solar explains quite succinctly that it will not matter if there are a bunch of LAZY people who contribute NOTHING to society BECAUSE Free Energy - DUH. It’s really simple if you think about it. Entropy is not the way. Burning Man has the luxury of unsustainability. NEOM is more of a TEST. The truth is, that every human will need to HAVE THE OPTION of being 100% independent, once provided the right technology ... Meaning, one could homestead OR live in a city OR be nomadic...

 So, there may still be assholes in the future utopia,
